What you may do without asking

A trade mark protects against confusion, not against mention. Whoever talks about us may call us by our name. That applies to the press, customers, competitors and partners alike, as long as the name is written as it is, the logo is not used and no impression arises that we stand behind it.

  • Reporting on Wavor: in news, reviews, comparisons, blog posts, talks and academic work.
  • Saying that a product works with Wavor ("works with Wavor", "imports from Wavor"), as long as it stays clear that it is not made by us.
  • Linking to wavor.io or one of our country addresses.
  • Naming Wavor in guides, training and documentation, including paid courses.
  • Showing screenshots of the interface to describe or review Wavor.

What needs our permission

  • Using the logo or the symbol in any form, other than as part of an unaltered screenshot.
  • Carrying "Wavor", "Wavear" or "Wavmail" in your own company, product, app or domain name ("wavor-tools.de" or "WavorPro" included).
  • Registering a mark that contains one of our marks or is confusingly similar to it.
  • Claiming or implying a partnership, certification or endorsement by Wavor.
  • Making or selling goods carrying our marks: clothing, stickers, merchandise.
  • Using our marks as keywords or in ads in a way that makes customers take a third-party offer for ours.

Requests go through the support form (subject "trademark"). We answer with a written consent or with the reason why not.

Spelling

  • In running text "Wavor" with a capital W, like any proper name. The lower case belongs to the logo alone.
  • Products are "Wavor Books", "Wavor Invoices" - Wavor first, a space, the product name capitalised.
  • Do not translate, abbreviate or set in capitals ("WAVOR"); no spellings of your own ("Wavour").
  • As a description a hyphenated form is fine ("Wavor account"); as a name for something of your own it is not.

Report misuse

If you see our marks used misleadingly - a site posing as Wavor, an app with our logo - report it via 통지 및 삭제. Domains that carry our mark we report ourselves through the registries' procedures.
