Why certain extensions are missing
A domain extension belongs to a country. Registering an extension that belongs to a comprehensively sanctioned country means providing infrastructure to someone there. That is exactly what the sanctions we are bound by prohibit: German and European law, plus the US lists through our payment processing. More on this: Sanctions and restricted countries.
If you already own such a domain
You can keep an existing domain with your current provider. We simply cannot take it over or register a new one for you.
